Thanks for visiting! My passion is to work with and motivate educators using research-based strategies and methods that incorporate the use of technology. While I believe that technology has the ability to engage students and enhance learning experiences, there is no substitute for amazing teachers!
My background is elementary and Spanish education. I have a B.A. in elementary education from Clemson University and an M.Ed. in instructional technology from Lesley University. I taught both in a third-world country and in the US... in small private schools and large public schools. Given these different experiences, I learned the importance of being resourceful and grateful for what (or lack thereof) I was given! After teaching, I decided to focus on teacher education and effectiveness. This website stemmed from my desire is to support educators and provide useful resources to enhance student learning. I currently consult with schools and districts to identify areas of need to effectively implement digital learning solutions.
I am a life-long learner... so my skills are constantly evolving and include technology evangelism, social media, public speaking, educational research and training. I enjoy learning about the latest trends and best practices in education. I have created and delivered many workshops and presented at local and national conferences on a variety of topics. I enjoy photography, traveling, running, gardening, cooking, and home projects. In addition, my 6 nieces keep me on my toes as I spend time with family and friends!
